Links We Love: Week of December 12, 2011

Happy Monday! Once again I am sharing my favorite beauty- and skincare-related links with you.

I gave myself a makeup makeunder! Check out the 10 products I swear by for a bare-faced (but not boring) natural look – Beauty Editor

Why we loved it: I felt like this was written  for me! I apply my makeup every day to appear, as the Michelle eloquently puts it, bare-faced bot not boring. That might as well be my beauty mantra. While I’m very happy with my own makeup products these days, this is a really helpful guide for anyone interesting in wearing more natural-looking makeup.

Week Four Without Shampoo – Finding a Healthy Way to get Back on the Wagon – Blisstree

Why we loved it: I’ve been following Hanna’s shampoo-free experiment all month and I love reading how happy she is with the results, as well as her commitment going forward. I gave up shampoos containing sulfates a couple of years ago, and I make it a point not to wash my hair too often, so I’m thrilled more people are learning about healthier alternatives for their hair.

Worst Celebrity Beauty Bloopers of 2011 – Beautylish

Why we loved it: Sometimes we need a reminder that celebrities are just like us. Even the rich and famous can have messy nails and concealer showing when it shouldn’t. I like this little reminder that nobody looks perfect and we all make beauty mistakes. Me more than most.

Hydroxatone and Miracle Skin Transformer: Naughty or Nice Twitter Giveaway – Hydroxatone and Miracle Skin Transformer

Why we loved it: Shameless, shameless self-promotion on our part. But it’s worth it! Click on the link to find out Hydroxatone and Miracle Skin Transformer products are in our NAUGHTY and NICE gift sets and for information on how to win!

Have you read anything you love this week? Post it in the comments — I’d love to know!

Dori Gray is the voice behind the Hydroxatone Facebook and Twitter accounts.  As Hydroxatone’s social media manager, Dori hopes to share with anyone who will listen (and sometimes those who won’t) just how wonderful these skincare products are. Her favorite weekend activity is relaxing on the couch with the cooling, refreshing Hydroxatone Instant Lift Pads on her face. In her other life, Dori is a health & fitness blogger and a Twitter fanatic. Her writing has appeared on NBC New York and Blisstree. She is about to run her first (and only) New York City Marathon. Originally from Queens, Dori has lived in Manhattan for the last six years. She was pleasantly surprised that the commute to the Hydroxatone headquarters in Jersey City is really not bad at all. Really. See More Articles by Dori
