Let’s get personal. And my personal, I mean an up-close photo of my face while standing in an apartment building hallway.
I’ll backtrack. On Saturday morning, I woke up at 6:30 am because I was running a 10K (6.2 mile) race. I never wear makeup to work out, but I always wear a moisturizer with sunscreen. I’m usually extremely self conscious because I have acne and scarring on my chin, and the only time people see me with absolutely nothing on my face is when I work out. And when I’m running an outdoor public race with photographers all around, I do waste precious time worrying about my skin. Sometimes I even have brunch plans immediately following a race, and I feel very aware of my flaws when I’m out to eat sans makeup.
I figured this morning would be the perfect time to try our brand new Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream, which hydrates, conceals and contains broad spectrum SPF 40 to block out the sun’s harmful rays.
As soon as I spread the cream on my face, I was a convert. Yes, I work here so I could be biased, but I was honestly really impressed with how well this product worked, how light it felt on my skin, how even my tone looked, and how my pimples and scarring were barely visible!
I went to this race feeling confident. So confident, in fact, that I ran my fastest 10K time ever — despite not having trained for this race or run at all between November – March — clocking in at 53:55. This is exactly two and a half minutes faster than my previous fastest time two years ago, and almost TEN minutes faster than my first 10K in December 2009.
After the race, I walked over a mile back home and as I caught a glimpse of myself in the apartment building mirrors while waiting for the elevator, I was pleasantly surprised. No, that is an understatement. I was THRILLED – at my very own reflection. My skin looked flawless!
It was at this time I decided to snap a photo on my iPhone to share with you all.
My totally even and seemingly perfect skin while wearing only the Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream, after running 6.2 fast (for me) miles. This BB Cream clearly passed the test. It’s just too bad I didn’t have brunch plans after!
