Spotlight Thursday: Revitalizing Microdermabrasion

Everyone thinks that one of the greatest perks of working for a skincare company is the products.  Yes, it’s great, but honestly, sometimes it’s overwhelming.  We are lucky enough to get six free products a month.

Here’s the deal:  for the first few months, it’s exciting so you order everything at least once to decide which ones you like, which you love and which just aren’t right for your skin.  After you’ve tested everything you’ll end up with less than a handful of products you order each month.  I’ve definitely found the Hydroxatone products that work for me but there is one I truly swear by.  For this Hydroxatone Spotlight Thursday I chose my absolute FAVORITE product – Revitalizing Microdermabrasion!

What it does: The Revitalizing Microdermabrasion gently polishes skin to remove dead skin cells and smooth skin texture.  If you’re looking for an anti-aging product, it also softens fine lines and wrinkles.  I am a big advocate of exfoliating (everyone should!) and this product was like a blessing to me.  I had been using a scrub on my face that had painfully rough micro beads.  I thought the pain actually meant the product was working, but what I didn’t realize is that it doesn’t have to hurt to work.

Who’s it for: Since everyone should exfoliate, this is another Hydroxatone product for all!  It’s proven to reduce the appearance of pores for a more flawless finish.  You’ll appreciate this once you’re done putting on your make-up.

What’s in it?: I’m not the type to go crazy worrying about ingredients (cough, Dori, cough) and I’ll pretty much try anything.  Luckily, the active ingredients in the Microdermabrasion are simple enough to understand:

• Magnesium Oxide – These are the micro-crystals that gently polish away dull, dead cells
• Potent Antioxidants – Helps protect the skin from environmental aggression

To put it simply, this product contains a blend of algae extract, vitamins and antioxidants for increased hydration and more luminous skin.  Easy, right?

Why we love it: It’s milder than most other facial scrubs and leaves our skin feeling nice and smooth.  It’s so gentle, you can use it every other day.  Trust me; you’ll see what we’re talking about!
