This week is going to be a great week. Especially if the rest of the week is anywhere near is great as the following Links we Love:
Fotoshop by Adobé – By Jesse Rosten
Why we loved it: OK, we must admit that before and after eye photo towards the beginning hit a little close to home for us, but we’ve got a great sense of humor — and the rest of this video is not only funny but also extremely thought-provoking. Think about the way “beauty” is thrown at us in magazines and on TV, think about a “perfection” that is unachievable. And who decided what is beautiful and what is perfect anyway? Let’s all laugh at the absurdity. “They’re almost unreal…istic.”
But I really do love our eye cream!
Hair Secrets from “The Hunger Games” –Beautylish
Why we loved it: YES. Katniss’s braid is perfect, even better than I could have imagined. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Asking yourself what a Katniss is? Then you should probably read The Hunger Games and then come back to discuss the pure perfection of the braid, how Elizabeth Banks’s entire Effie Trinket look is better than I could have ever imagined and our excitement over how Stanley Tucci will look.
Why we loved it: I know, I know. But it was all over the beauty sites last week! And just look at the hair. How can anyone not be excited about this movie? These brightly colored wigs are for residents of Panem, where they have no real worries and their only concern is being brighter, shinier, more outrageous and ultimately more ridiculous. Imagine that?
Why we loved it: Kimmie tried three Hydroxatone products for 30 days — AM/PM Anti_Wrinkle Complex, Revitalizing Microdermabrasion and Sunsoak Age-Defying Self Tanner. She honestly reviewed each product and — spoiler alert — she liked them all! Want to win your own Hydroxatone? Enter her giveaway here!
Any good online reads this week? Anything Hunger Games-related I might want to see? Share!
