The Zombie Boy Transformation

Wow. I am still in awe after reading about the commercial Rick Genest did for Dermablend.

You might recognize Genest (AKA Zombie Boy) from Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video by the head-to-toe tattoos covering every inch of his body.  Now, Genest is the new face — and body — of the AD campaign for Dermablend with his Zombie Boy transformation.

I grew up idolizing celebrity makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin, who transformed Genest for this campaign. He was famous for his ability to turn turn anyone into anything with his makeup skills. I read all his books, so I’ve seen some pretty amazing transformations.

This campaign definitely takes the win!  Dermablend says it took three makeup artists and approximately four tubes of Dermablend Leg and Body Cover, along with Leg and Body Tattoo Primer and setting powder to transform Zombie Boy.

Read more about the transformation and watch the video behind the scenes of the shoot:

As amazing as Rick Genest is as a tattooed zombie, I can’t help but think how cute he looks all cleaned up . . .

Does a unique campaign like this make you want to try Dermablend?
